This poem is directed toward a man who shattered my heart.
I find it so interesting, the ascension,
the way we toy with one another's hearts.
There is no way out of redemption,
but the demons still tear you apart.

The way we toy with one another's hearts
as if it were all a game.
The demons will always tear us apart
there's always the one to blame.

It's all a game
in his eyes at least,
you're always to blame
why can't he be the beast?

In his eyes at least
you once were a beauty
now playing the beast
you've now done your duty.

You once were the beauty
with scars underneath
after your duty
your skin peals the sheath.

With scars underneath
once, so interesting, was my ascension
now your skin has peeled the sheath
and there is no sign of redemption.
