More about a broken heart.
Valentine,
sweet Valentine.
Why do you move so fast?
It was yesterday,
then tomorrow,
the future became the past.

You speak of love
like love's a thing.
There is no way you could know.
It doesn't bend.
It doesn't pale.
No concept of time, fast or slow.

Do you even know what it meant?
Can you see through your web of lies?
Can you imagine all the time I've spent
living through tear stained eyes?

Breathe in...

That is all I can do;
all that I know.
Living through day upon day.
Walking,
falling,
kicking, and screaming the way.

What was the point?
Why did you start
if there was every intension to end?
The path is still worn,
patted, and dry.
The hole has dug it's course, anticipating a mend.

It is the place where I was born,
is the place where I wanted to die.
Left my being utterly scorned.
What a pathetic good-bye.

Breathe out...
