Best friends reach deadly lengths to be united. Reviews please
The razor pierced deep into Jamie's wrist. The sharp blade was cold at the touch.  Blood was now smeared on her shaking hands, its dark red appearance painfully snatching her out of the oozing trance it had her trapped in.

Realizations of the dreadful and unforgiveable act she was committing resurfaced when she asked herself "why?"

But, of course, it was all to be reunited with Jeff, her best friend who had recently stole his own life after their parents forced them to demolish all contact with each other.

"We are kept apart by unseen binding chains that counteract with every action we make, leaving an orifice as wide as our parents' eyes when they discover the suicidal path we've created to be together," Jeff had said the night before he purposely overdosed on sleeping pills.

Now the time had arrived for Jamie. Her body felt weak. Her eyelids heavy. At first, the blood had leaked out hastily, but now it had reduced to drops that only landed and stained the bathroom floor. She knew the end was coming soon.

With the small amount of strength that remained within her delicate body, she leaned herself on the sink before her for balance, smudging her blood on the white surface. On the mirror with her own blood she wrote:

Binding Chains No Longer Hold Us Apart

Her seemingly weightless body collapsed on to the floor as she took her final breath.
