Just a simple little question, it can make you doubt where you are in life.
"What virtues are important to you?"
a friend asked the other day.
I had to stop and think a bit
about what I had to say.

"To be strong and proud
and confident is what I want to be.
A model for my children,
to have them to look up to me."

My response, bothered me for days.
Oh, where did I go wrong.
I don't see those things in me.
But they've been important all along.

And then I took a look around
at the children I have raised.
There I see what's important to me
all the values that I've praised.

Brian he is the confident one
and Beau is so very strong.
Brandi, pride is her best virtue,
so where did I go wrong?

The answer to that is nowhere,
for each time I look at the three
I see the values I have instilled.
as my children look up to me.
