Written one night. Just how I felt at that moment.
Neverending battles crowding within.
I'm a flame, a poppy, a broken violin.
I'm a whisper never meant to be heard.
I'm a coward, a limp, a flightless bird.
I'm a pit in an olive breaking a tooth.
I'm a lemon, an empty, a mindless sleuth.
Laugh at me now for I do not care.
The sruggle of life is everywhere.
Aren't you just the one to talk?
You're just as a mess,
a featherless hawk.
Who clipped your wings?
Do I dare ask?
What should I say the smell in your flask?
Drink your pity and mind into gum.
It will not work for you will unnumb.
As frozen as this peralasis is locked,
You may as well leave and abandon your flock.
I may be a footloose in a funeral home.
A virus in motion, a bruising epitome.
I may be a coward in sight.
A dreaming hag, a worthless fight.
I may be a hoax, a lying nim.
That's the struggle of life and my battle within.
