Tuesday Morning
After so long a time,
there's only so much walking
that you can do.
Then it's time
to just sit and think.
Think, think, think about you
that's all I seem to do anymore.
Walking, sitting, running
or whatever
Now sitting down here
on the beach
just below the apartment
I don't know,
for some silly reason
I halfway expect to see you
coming down the path,
your soft blonde hair
blowing in the breeze.
That little black bikini of yours
But of course, you didn't.
Good God,
it's going to be a long time
'til Tuesday morning
I think that you can safely bet
that come Tuesday morning
the sun won't catch me still in bed
I'll be up, dressed,
sitting waiting very impatiently
for the drive to the airport
"Til then
how can I say
anymore how I miss you.
Except just to say, that I do.
Hurry home soon
All my love.
