I wrote this when i had a fight with the most important person in my life.
I don’t know what I should do
I’m lost in the blizzard,
                   With nowhere to go.
White snow swirls around me
                   I’m cold from head to toe.

Panic floods my mind
I search desperately for the correct path
                   Which will take me back,
But no matter whichever way I look,
                   I can’t find the right track.

Isolated from everyone else
By an invisible barrier
                   That holds me captive;
People laugh at me, they scorn me
                   When they see me struggle to live.

I call out in despair
To the one person who can liberate me
                   But he seems not to hear.
I call again, this time louder;
                   All around me, the spectators jeer.

He notices me, but turns his head away
Without showing a single sign of recognition;
                   And yet again I try to draw his attention.
As he walks towards me,
                   I suddenly have a strange sensation.

So distant his eyes are,
So cold and indifferent his manner
                   As he passes by me without a glance;
I sink back into my cage and give up,
                   Without his help, I don’t have a single chance.

Hell seems a better place to be.
However much I try,
                   It’s impossible to hold back the tears’
They threaten to overtake me,
                   And a rushing noise fills my ears.

Then, miraculously, I hear a voice,
A voice so sensuous and soft
Like leaves rustling in a slight breeze;
It feels like satin on my soul,
                   That voice with a hint of a tease.

I open my eyes – and there he stands
Smiling a soft enigmatic smile
                   The meaning of which only I know;
The barrier around me disintegrates itself,
I get up and dust off the snow.

His eyes hold an invitation,
I rush into his arms
                   And he holds me tight;
I know he won’t hurt me again,
                   Never again will we fight.

The path is right before me
We step on it together
                   Unaware of anything else.
He takes me back to my world –
                   The world in which he dwells.

Now that I know he really cares,
I can finally smell the roses,
                   Hear the tinkling bells.
We’ll live happily ever after –
                   All is well that ends well.
