"Dorsimbra" poetry form for Week 11 of "Stretch Your Style".
Bitsy

This child is young, female, and oh, so small.
Her face became of such import, that she
with each shy smile, giggle, ev'ry tear fall,
fills up our hearts; our days with joy unfold.

We love each child of our flesh,
You may rest assured.
But this first child of our child
Caught us fully unprepared.

This plan, of God, must surely be ordained.
A gift so rare, to ease the pains we bear,
When life was hard and hearts heavy, she came...
This child is young, female, and oh, so small.

Author's note: This is a "Dorsimbra", three stanzas of four lines each, the first uses Iambic Pentameter with an ABAB rhyme scheme, the second uses Free Verse, the last Blank verse (unrhymed Iambic Pentameter) with the final line a repetition of the first line of the first stanza.
