A poem on my view of the snake pit that is politics
Splash of Color

A splash of color here
A splash of color there
A twinkleing star
A shining stream
A hopeful look
A brand new day
The pull of life
A happy song
Peaceful virtue
Now back to reality
Lies for control
Curropted times
False is always being said
Truth is in disgrace
Hypocrites praised
Curroption is emanent
What will come of it?
The splashes of color
Are only coverup
Stars of falsehood distract
While the streams of lies continue on
The look of hope
Is only for votes
Hypocrites, Hypocrites, Hypocrites
Innocents accused
Those who give their life
Spit at, disgraced, and hated
Only one way out
But how can it be done?
People believe there is nothing wrong
All they see are splashes of color, stars, and streams
If the streams are revealed
All that is created are more stars and larger splashes
What has our world come to?
And better yet
What can be done about it?
