A story of a young vampire hunter.
My name is Amelia Raven. And whether you believe it or not, I am a vampire hunter. I come from the best line of hunters in all of history. My family has never lost a battle yet. That is, until my traitor of a sister willingly handed herself over to Nicholas. I swear on my life I will kill that blood sucking bastard. And if Leena gets in the way, I will not hesitate to kill her as well.

This aura is weak. Could be he doesn't feed on humans, but, I was taught to kill, no matter how weak the aura.
I checked myself to make sure I had my knives. All in place. I entered the alleyway, blood filling my nostrils.
" What are you doing here human?" I turn to see the leech was now behind me.
" Taking a late night stroll of course." I said sarcastically.
His vampiric aura suddenly cascaded through the roof. I suddenly felt nauseous.
" Another Raven? Are you here to hand yourself over as well?" He said with a smirk.
" Nicholas!?"
" You're not even close to having your sister's powers. You're nothing but a child." He scoffed.
I am not a child! I am 17!
I pulled out the knife that was tucked away behind me, and lashed quickly towards his heart.
I was quicker than most humans. I have un-natural speed and strength. I have yet to find out if it's because of my brutal training over the years, or something else.
He stepped by with no effort and pinned me against the brick wall, squeezing my throat tightly, his body pressed against mine.
" You're so much prettier than your sister." He said, face getting closer.
I knew what he was trying to do. With just one kiss from a vampire, with as much power as he has, he could easily make me his servant. I would be answering his every need.
I was not about to become my sister.
I pushed with all of my might and spirit, normally this would send a vampire through the brick wall, but this didn't even phase him.
" You're definitely stronger than your sister. Of course, she didn't try to get away. Why don't you be a good little girl and follow in her footsteps."
" Never!" I yelled.
Every ounce of my strength burst from me, sending him a few feet back. I jumped on top of him and brought out my wrist blade. I jabbed it into his shoulder, then headed for the heart.
Mere centimeters from my target, and he flipped me, pinning my wrists to the ground, baring fangs.
I was going to die, at 17. All of my strength and courage drained from me. It was hard to even breathe.
He stared at me for a moment and I saw his look soften, only slightly. He let go of my wrists and stood. I sat up in awe.
" I will let you live."
" Just kill me. Put me out of my misery. I would rather die than go home with a loss."
" There was no loss, you won." He said with a slight smile.
" but....."
" I wish to fight you again someday Amelia." He then vanished.
A vampire just spared my life, a vampire for christ's sake! What is wrong with the world? I should have been a shriveled up body by now.
I sighed and stood. I began walking back to my own town. I was happy to find some vampires along the way, none of them had even a quarter of Nicholas's powers, but I didn't care, I had to lose some steam.
I looked at my watch after my sixth kill. 11:20. I was suppose to be home at eleven. I'm sure my mom would understand.
" I'm home." I said stepping through the front door.
" Do you know what time it is?" She asked suddenly appearing.
I looked at my watch. " 12:00 o'clock sharp."
" You were supposed to be home an hour ago." She said, hands on hips.
" I was busy mama." I said unstrapping my knives.
" How many?"
" Twelve, almost..."
" Almost what? Don't tell me you lost." She said now worried.
" I was gonna say almost got wounded." I lied.
" Oh, well, you'd heal." She said walking out of the room.
" Thanks for caring ma." I said to myself.
I then headed upstairs and took a long hot shower. No matter how long I stood there, I couldn't burn the feeling of Nicholas away. I could still feel his hands on me, body pressed against mine.
I finally got out and dried off. I put on a black tank top and jama bottoms and sloppily pulled my hair up. I went into my room and sat at my desk.
I began to do my research but soon lost interest. I put all that aside and began drawing. I was surprised at how well I was drawing this, every detail. It was beginning to look like a photo.
When I finished I picked it up and looked at it.
" Nicholas!?" I whispered rather loudly.
I was drawing Nicholas the whole time!? Gah!
I threw the picture and headed to bed. I took one last glance at the picture.
Though he is a vampire, I have to admit, he's gorgeous. Shaggy black hair, beautiful green eyes. A chilll ran down my spine.
What the hell am I thinking!? He is a vampire, my enemy, the one I hate most.
