Reflections on our spirituality.
In This World

Why I?
Why sing?
Oh why
Do anything?
By our deeds,
In this world,
Prove we fit in.

Weeds grow.
The Sparrow’s song;
All know
It won’t be long
Comes a time
To move on

Early pangs of
Separation
Lead to recognize
Discrimination.
To categorize
Into that
Which is not,
Nor ever was

In this world
So much wasted
So much wonder
So much goes un-tasted
Blind opinions
And
Blinder hatred

Yet
Are we
Too blind to heed it?
We Think
We are
Too smart to need it
If we can’t
Synthesize it
Unless we can steal it
Capitalize on it
We destroy and
Conceal it

In this world
We confuse
Our own souls
With something to lose
And
God the force
Creator of all
With a parent of divorce
After the fall
