a poem about choosing to be who I am than pretending to be someone I'm not...
I'll Stay As Me

What am I, if I am not me?
What do you think, should I be?
Will you like, what you see?
If I show you, the real me...

I am simple, I am true
I'll say what I want to say to you
I'll never hide, I'll set myself free
Like a bird flying over land and sea

I am different, unique as they call
I am your friend, I won't let you fall
I may be an enemy, so you better watch out
I'll rock your world and I'll freak you out

So don't be surprised, don't be amazed
Even if I'm not a pretty face
I'm just as simple as you can see
I don't really care if you won't like me

As long as I'm happy, I'll stay this way
I'll choose the place where I want to stay
I'll remain as me, I'll never change
Even if you all think that I'm really strange
