Lillian (14 year old girl) vs. Marion (lunatic uncle) Who do you think will win?
She sat at the edge of the mossy green pond; her feet lay submerged in the water. Her long silky brown hair flowed gracefully in the sorrowful morning breeze.
A little baby dragon sat obediently beside her; his scales gleaming a pearly white in the early morninng sun. He kept glancing behind him with his clover green eyes as if waiting and anticipating a disturbance in the peace.
Minutes passed and the girl did nont move. The dragon climbed carefully onto the girl's legs; glancing up at his master and nudging her fragile hand.
      But the tears still came.
They flowed quietly and steadily from her eyes; forming a small pool in her hands, for she didn't have the will to stop them.
"Chris," was the word that escaped from her lips. It was spoken so quietly that only the girl herself could hear it.
The small creature that still lay in her lap suddenly lifted his head faster than a blink of the eye. His eyes quickly turned from a calm green to a fierce and blood-curling red. Footsteps could be heard in the distance, the clink and clanks of heavy metal boots making contact with the soft soil.
The girl's head shot up like a bullet. You could clearly see the stains that her tears had made. She gently covered the white dragon's mouth and gazed clamly towards the sounds. "You came." Lillian said as softly as ever. She never took her eyes off the man who came out of the forest.
"Well no duh I have!" the man retorted. "How's it been Lily?" he asked a little more softly.
"It's been ages since I heard that name, well, it seems like it has been ages," Lily answered. She took her hand off her dragon and rush over to the man, giving him a big bear hug.
"I've missed you Andy!" she wept in his arms. "I never meant for it to end like that. It was only supposed to be fun. We were going to take a quick trip to the town; we never knew that they would attack. He was never meant to die..."
