was sitting at work. saw an old lady sitting alone in a car.
Staring out at the world with tired eyes,
watching the life she once knew pass her by.
Suffocating in her body, old face, fading mind.
She can't walk on her own anymore,
and to her, it seems like every passing minute
is a race against time.
Remembering a time many years ago, when she
was needed and loved, it takes
all her strength to wipe a tear away.
With nobody to listen, and nobody to really care,
she still sits alone, waiting for Death to
take her by the hand, and lead her out
of this now cruel world
