He reflects on his life and can't face the choices he made.
The mirror's reflection
Shows a man hardened and jaded,
Desperate to find truth
Weary of the charade he lives.

I turn away quickly
Too proud to admit my regrets
And unable to face
The catastrophe of my life.

I mourn for my lost youth,
And the innocent child I was.
Tears trickle down my cheeks;
How have I become what I am?

A sharp intake of breath
The shot surprises even me.
The shell falls to the ground
Slowly draining of its essence.

As I gasp my last breath
My soul is filled with elation.
Farewell, O Life I hate,
I'm finally finished with you.
