This is a poetry reflecting the feelings of a Palestinian orphan losing his only companion
His eyes seemed so peaceful
With his hands resting on his chest
His complexion, so pale
His lips, as red as blood
He was all I had left
And now he is gone

But I know that he has gone to a better place
Guarded by Holy Angels in the presence of the Al-Mighty?
What could be more beautiful?
The thought of him leaving through an Israeli bullet
Leaves me incomplete to this very day

I knew he could have died a more peaceful death
But perhaps God willed him to be a martyr
You will always be my hero, my little brother
You were there when I had to bury father, mother and sister
Comforting me after we lost our home and our family

So I dedicate this to you O little one!
So that your memory may live forever
And so I can meet you in the Heavens
And I promise you that your passing will not be in vain
That I shall do my very best to bring justice in the Name of God
So that our nation can be liberated with the blood of you and me
