A short poem about when worlds collide.
In the end we saw what came of it all
And she said, nothing lasts forever
But from the look in her eye
I could see the surprise
And my heart stopped altogether

She said, who do you think you are
Are you the center of your world
You’re a piece of dirt
Your matter doesn’t matter as a matter of fact

She knew she went too far
By the look in her eye
When my hand fell about her space-
Time and time again

I said, does it feel the pain
Does it play the game
Does it place the blame
Does it feel my shame

What is the wrath of God
Is it the wrath of me
As I think of that place
About you and that line

That you crossed one time
I will feel the pain
Of the look in her eye
When I am a single drop of rain
