Random problem writings for a teenager named Chase
" So she's.... are you really sure she's..that?"
Chase lowered his head. " Yea I know it's unbelievable. It's taking me some time to believe it too."
" But how?"
Kwon was practically trying to count back the days. Knowing the slut Candy was, he was only concerned for his friend.
" Damn man... I knew she was a slut." Kwon said, trying to make him feel better.
" Calling her a slut isn't going to help. I have to take responsibility."
" Man, you've got to stop being such a push over. Do you know how many men this girl has slept with? An awful lot is the answer, man."
" Chase stood up. He was so frustrated. It was bad enough knowing a girl he had no emotion for anymore, was going to have his child. It was a bigger burden for his friend to be on his back telling him this girl was very promiscuous, and this baby might not be his. He knew he would need some time to think. He couldn't just jump straight out of the blue and call himself daddy, but he couldn't just abandon what he brought to the earth.
His hand sailed smoothly between his golden brown hair.
" What am I going to do?" Chase said, confusion in his eyes.
Kwon leaped to the opportunity to add more insults on Candy. " Well first off, confront her man, She's been a whore since day one!"
Chase placed his hands in his hoodie pocket. " How am I going to do that?"
" Tell her that you're not worrying about nothing until that baby gets here, and until a paternity test is in your hands."
" Oh Kwon, I can't say that, that's irresponsible."
" Well, it was irresponsible for her to sleep with more than one guy in a relationship."
" True, true... but she's a good girl, I dated her for Pete's sake!"
Kwon's face crumbled into anger. " Why are you taking up for this girl?"
Chase gave him a look that notified he was unsure, but he replied, " I'm sure she's not as bad as you claim. Just because she cheated one time-"
" Bingo!" Kwon said, interrupting his sentence. " Once a cheater always a cheater... and a cheater with multiple men in less than a week, might I add.."
Chase folded his arms. "Okay you got me, I think she's a fowl woman, and I won't see or speak to her until the baby is born!"
Though Kwon wasn't stupid, and he knew that deep inside Chase was practically shivering to see her and ask questions. He was satisfied with the words Chase spoke for now, because he knew that he was going to try, even if he did slip up and see her like a bitch. He was going to try.
This gave Kwon plenty of time to think up something for the next few days. As far as he was concerned, Chase and Candy could not speak, or meet. It would be a pure disaster.
Okay my man, you need some rest. Meet me at the hack on burger tomorrow... Don't be late.
" Yea yea." Chase said still a bit confused.
Kwon waved to him, grabbed his coat, then headed out the door. This was followed by him sticking his head back into the doorway.
" Oh by the way, can you bring a happy face and not a sappy face?"
" What?"
" Never mind, just dont look like a puppy when you meet me.."
Kwon closed the door.
Now that Kwon was gone, Chase had more time to think to himself about what he was going to do. He was alone, and it was getting dark. The nearly empty room spread depression into his mind. Even though the thoughts were getting old, he just had to keep asking himself over and over, what kind of father would he be?
And what about Tia? How would she react? His now changing girlfriend who was adapting to gossiping and backstabbing. Would he lose her?
Something urged him to reach in his pocket and pull his cellphone out. He hadn't thought about that. His relationship with Tia would be severely scared if she found out about the baby. He loved her. No other girl made him feel the way he felt when she was in his arms. He couldn't bare to lose her.
He pulled his cellphone out and called Tia. Desperately waiting for her to pick up, his fingers figged and climbed one another.
" Hello? Hi baby!" Tia said in a loving tone.
" Hi, um, I just want to let you know I love you."
" Ha ha, I love you to..oh, I'm a little busy can I call you back?"
Chase gave a long pause. " No..this is uh, very important. I have to tell you something."
" He he, okay shoot."
Chase began to nibble on his finger nails. This was the moment, this was when he would tell her the deep information, and hope for the best. If she accepted it, it would make his heart feel better. If she didn't, then he would feel horrible.. and maybe a bit ashamed.
" Tia, Nori is Pregnant."
There was a long pause. It sent chills running up Chase's back. He knew what those pauses meant for Tia, but he didn't want to believe that she would be upset with him. He knew she loved him more than that, and if anything, she would be understanding.
" Well that's great!" She said.
" Really?"
" Yea, who's the lucky daddy?"
Chase bit his lip. " Um... me?"
There was another long pause in the phone. He was hoping that when she came back from thinking, it would be another ' That's great!'
" What?" She said historical.
"Now maybe I should explain!" He said, before she thought anything crazy.
" That's crazy, are you kidding me? You got her pregnant? Do you expect me to believe you still love me?"
Chase didn't know what to do or say. " Tia, please calm down, now, you know you mean so much to me!"
" Evidently not. You don't love me, you never did. I should've known a man like you would play me one day... that's exactly what happened.. I just got played, I can't believe this shit!"
Trying to calm her down was useless, she wasn't listening, and who knows who she was around... hopefully not her parents!
" Look, she's 4 months pregnant. I know it sounds harsh but, I have to tell you because I felt you had the right to know. You're my love."
"You're love? Oh that's rich. I'll call you back, besides you need some thinking time... you pathetic waste."
" What?"
"You're a waste, and I can't believe I trusted you as the man of my dreams."
He heard a sharp click signifying that the phone hung up. It was true then. She reacted the way he feared she would. The only thing left to do was talk to her face to face and explain the situation. If she still didn't understand after that, there was nothing left for the relationship to do except crumble.
He could only sit and hope, but after so much sitting and hoping, he couldn't help but think maybe it was him who was getting dealt the bad hand. He was the one who should be angry, because his friends weren't being very supportive. It was high school, stabbing him in the back royal. He knew this point in his life would come. Now it was time to face it, he was strong, and ready to give up everything for what's right, even if that meant giving up Tia. He just hoped when the time came, she would understand.
