a poem i have written
I realize, that you're no longer mine.
Destined only to die, to wander in the
desert so vast.
But no one knows, no one knows.
How red my heart popping among the
waves of sand has become of me.
Drifting along this interstellar path like
lust on the tip of a knife.
Marsh mellow toes and candy cane
feet melt with the lemonade rain.
Wash away what they have created,
what they have made.
With those actions that tear me apart.
But these will not be my famous last
words.
I will keep on living, as I drift on the
chocolate river.
Lemon lime passes through time with
winds of red licorise.
Salvation is on the other side.
These will not be my famous last words.
It will not be my last breath, I utter your
name.
And I slip out of this hollow abyss, butterfly
eyes flicker open to warm sights of yellow
carnations and candy covered wallpaper.
These will not be my famous last words,
among a sea of upside down camera flashes.
Bandages line my tattered and torn off
bruises.
That sandbox lives deep in my coma.
And I look into her sweet blue eyes, and
realize.
Those will never be my famous last words.
And you will never leave me.
But I just have one last question.
Is this heaven, and were those my famous last
words?
