short fantasy like poem, got the idea in the middle of the grocery store.
Down the dimly path I follow
Trees that rustle
Lights that glimmer
Cold and Wet
The ground here sparkles
Mist that rises pulls and beckons

Down a moonlit path I follow
Words I do not mutter
My heart and mind are one together
In my ears I hear a whisper
My heart must choose to follow.

Once the trees give way to water
Wide open clearing I come upon
Light from the moon frames my face
Winged heavenly beings crowd the water

Droplets of water
Each my own
Each a different shining hue
Place itself around my neck
a gossamer string
Intricate and light
A web that’s fashioned as a jewel
Upon my slender neck they lay
This piece that bears my name

I dare not take my eyes away
From the picture that before me lay
As purple lighted droplets fall upon
My earlobes as a jewel

And then I hear them in a rush
A whisper so light
The angels that crowd the water
Whisper softly to me

A song that’s sung
In whispered tones
Angel whispers
Angelic whispers
