Raven's Tale

Prologue:
"Must...keep...going! Can't stop...after all this!" Raven glanced behind her shoulder. He was STILL chasing her. He was not taking her down: not now, not this way.
Not him.
Her heart racing, Raven kept running until she came to an abanded apartment building.
"I guess luck is in my favor today."
She climbed those old apartment stairs for dear life. Swiftly but gently, she closed the door lightlly behind her.
She ran into the room farthest from the front door; an old bedroom. Raven squeezed into the farthest corner of the room, took a few deep breaths and relaxed. Something on the dresser caught her attention.
"This looks so peculiar and somewhat familiar," she thought to herself while examining a miniture photograph. It was a family; the mother, looking about thirty five, looked proud standing next to a stern looking man, looking roughly fourty or so. In between them, a young boy, looking twelve, stood. Quite a charming family, if only that little girl in the corner weren't mucking up the picture. She looked so sad, looking down away from her family, gripping her right arm, standing as far away from them as she could without stepping out of the way of the picture.
She tucked the small picture frame into her cloak, and decided to get comfortable.
...Until she heard his footsteps climbing the rusty, metal stairs after her. Raven held her breath......
*Thud...Thud....THUD!......CRASH!* The door fell to the floor. "Dammit, how did he find me so quickly?!" Raven thought to herself.
Dead silence filled the room.
