Waiting, Waiting

You’ve kept me waiting for so long
And I think it’s quite wrong,
I’ve looked around for different ways
But haven’t really had my days,

I’m walking on the road alone
While the world is using a harsh tone,
No idea how long it’ll take
Until my day you come to make,

But I’ve been waiting for so long
That it wouldn’t hurt to stay along,
Like a lonely bird I feel
But I won’t get down and kneel,

Because even though I’m sad inside
I try the laughing role outside,
Not a traitor like you I am
But still I’ll wait for as long as I can.
