the pain of realising that nothing but the memories remain...to my best friend..
Remember when we sang on the
escalator, and they thought we were mad?
Remember when we sailed rubber ducks
in the river, and you almost fell in?
Remember when he dumped me,
and you brought chocolate and Kleenex?

I remember the times you let me
cry on your shoulder,
the times you made me laugh, consoled me,
The times I thought all hope was
lost, and you brightened my world.

So many things we
shared.Yet
so many things I held back. All those unshared
thoughts, I whisper them to you.

You don't answer.

But you are still with me,
alive,
smiling, while your gravestone
tells me that you died

yesterday.
