A short metaphorical poem
The last petal has fallen
the rose falls to the ground
Stained by countless tears
Shed by lonely souls.
Fresh life starts anew
Given by this death.
A garden of hope has sprung
From ashes of the past.
Take your pick from many
This garden knows no bounds
And every type of flower
Springs from this sacred ground.
In time your rose may wilt
As all things tend to do
And the once beautiful flower
Will wither in the soil.
Tears may be shed
And lost beauty be mourned
But there will always be that chance
That you’ll find the one that lasts.
