Short sad poem I wrote during Religion class
A true love is one
From the sandbox
Throwing sand in his face
To the funeral pall-bearers
Hoisting his body over your shoulder.
From the cradle to the grave
And beyond - to the shadowy abyss
Of Death -- Of Nothingness.

Good times through bad -
From the calm, cool sea breeze
To a violent, hellish maelstrom.
Will you be there for me
In my darkest nightmare?

I need you always
To hold me…
When I cry
Be my shoulder and my rock
I need you always
To smile…
When I act like a fool
I don’t ask for much
And in return I give you
EVERYTHING

My trust, my secrets, hopes and fears
MY LOVE

Please don’t throw that away…

…Because it’s all I can give you.
