It's funny how stereotypes can go wrong, so fast.

What's in a place that has no rules, according to the nothing-knowers? They all want something. All of them. And then they call on us to prevent them from getting it. London is a big city. An extremely big city. With a lot of people. And that lot is usually seperated into two types... scum, and citizens. And unfortunately, I have the job of "Scum Cleanup." No, I'm not a constable. Crime has skyrocketed, "Studies" show. They call me an "Element Deterrance Officer." Since the higher-ups have decided they want to keep a certain "Element" behind bars. Did I mention, there are a lot of places to hide?

Another call. I grabbed the pistol I was issued. It's a Glock. No more. No less. Just a Glock. I looked at the magazine. 15 rounds. Just how it should be. I turned on my radio.

"-call that told us he was last seen on Sparrow Blvd., head west, towards 5th Street. All units advise, he is armed. We repeat, he is armed. We do not know what he is armed with." My heart skipped a few hundred beats. He was heading towards my apartment. I put on all my gear, and headed out the door. Not long after, a pair of cold hands touched my neck, and part of the hands, a knife. An ambush. I stayed still, and dropped my gun. Then, I began to struggle. Not a smart move on my part, as he--

A quick slash, and a warm pool of blood, were the only two things that moved at that point in time, as the Officer slid quickly to his death, on the cold, unforgiving sidewalk.

Imagine not being here. Do things really go on behind you? or does the world simply turn off when you're not looking? Well, that's a pretty self-centered way of thinking. Things had gotten quiet since the force had found officer Denton dead, and the middle of a sidewalk. But I didn't say much. The funeral, was more full of us, than people who knew him. Since the killer took it further, and killed his wife, and three children.

There's a substantial difference between lovers and fighters, I thought to myself as I slid down the stairs. My mind stopped for a while, and I noticed the floor was wet with blood, and that's what I had slipped on. A pair of cold eyes pinned me into a juxtaposition I was very frozen in. Knowing who this was, I slid my gun quickly from the holster, but it was t--

Two shots fired, and one more officer down. One in the neck, one in the skull. It's times like these that usually an alarm goes off, but noone was around. because someone once said, that "The world is not dangerous because of dangerous people, it's dangerous because of the people that watch and do nothing." And that same exact thing happened right then. Nobody called in for backup, and nobody saw. Because people are ignorant.
