A woman's life deteriorates due to the fear of a threat.
you slowly approach every corner you take
your cell phone rings and you slam on the brakes
you check your locks at every red light
wondering if you'll be falling asleep tonight

take deep breaths and count back from ten
listen to your therapist; he's your only friend
your heart sinks when you approach closed doors
I could be under the bed so keep your feet off the floor

my words consisted of very little precision
effective though, you second guessed every little decision
I promised my revenge by the end of the year
and you're upping your dosage to dilude the fear

crouched in a corner you hear midnight strike
I wasn't coming, you can turn off your lights
but tonight while you laugh at every word I said
I'm closer than you think. i've been living in your head
