anthro action and adventure peice
She panted as she ran through the woods. Tree limbs seemed to snatch at her trying to slow her down more and more. She didn't dare to look over her shoulder to see if they were still following her. She hid behind a tall tree trying to catch her breath. She looked skyward wishing she could fly away. She sat down for a brief moment to relax. A small breeze blew through the vast forrest. Her ear twitched back at the sound of the baying hounds. She cringed at the thought of them and their hot breath beating against her fur. With a groan she stood to peek out from behind the tree. All she saw was wide open jowels coming at her. She ducked back behind the tree as the dog landed on his feet a few inches away from her. The pulse seemed to stand still under her skin before lurching back to life. Her head darted around as she desperatly looked for a way out. More of the morbid beasts were closing in around her. She jumped over the back of one feeling his teeth dig deep into her flesh. A loud, ear-peircing roar was wrenched from her throat as she turned and used her own fangs to tear into the animal. Tossing him aside she once again took off through the woods. A loud boom resounded through the woods chasing her onward before she felt a hot, sharp pain in her side. With another roar she fell to the ground, panting she tried desperatly to stand back up. To no avail. She could hear the barking of the dogs growing louder and louder as they surrounded her. One hand clutched her side as she tried once more to stand. She ended up falling on a heap to the ground again. The dogs barked loudly nipping at her as if taunting her. It wasn't long until she heard the sound of the humans walking up to her. They laughed as one used his gun barrel to lift her head up. The world seemed to sping uncontrolably around her. She did her best to growl at the men before her. They only laughed as her eyelids drooped. Her breath was short and seemed heavier than normal. She closed her eyes as she thought of the horror stories she had heard here and there all of her childhood from the soldiers. Finally she gave up the fight and let the blackness take over.
