Recently read Yates' Revolutionary Road. Inspired by.
Living on the edges of existence there's a
hazy line between reality and neuroses.
Unbelievably beautiful gardens and draughty
window panes remind me that I'm still alone
behind my eyes. How would you know?

He believes it is real, but his reality is so far
from mine. Breezy smiles crunch against
my own discomfort. Live and die in
mediocrity-grin. Or else keep punching
above your ambition and lose anyway.

I can't tell you how we got here. I've no idea
how we're getting back. This is worse than I have
ever known. Hold fast to your scars and piercings,
those idioms of self and normality evaporates.
Because, Darling, home has gone.
