How an angel and a miscarriage brought me a baby boy.
How you came to be

Once there was a spirit
who came to me one night.
She said, You're going to be with child
but something won't be right.

Don't lose hope. Don't shed a tear.
I bring you peace of mind.
With you I'll be until it's time.
A heartbeat, they won't find.

I come to bring a message
to your healer.  If she's alert,
I'll bring her clues to the mystery,
she'll heal your place of hurt.

Don't lose faith.  Heed my advice.
Patience is the key.
And when you get that baby boy,
give him a kiss for me.

For I will dwell in him someday
to guide him when he's grown
Don't you worry mother fears,
he'll never be alone.

One year, a lifetime later,
my dream of you came true.
You burst to life impatiently
a mere eight weeks too soon.

It was touch and go for a week or so;
but strong was your will to thrive.
With protection from your angel,
I had no doubt you would survive.

I held you close, so full of joy,
and blessed you with a kiss,
and whispered "precious baby boy,
your angel sent you this."

Dedicated to my 3 yo son, Jack, who has physical strength (and stubborness) beyond his years.  It's a good thing he has a guardian angel-he's gonna need one.

If you are one who has had repeated early miscarriages and are still trying to conceive, read on:

Ask your doc (reproductive endocrinologist preferably) to do a test for auto-immune conditions during pregnancy (there are four main ones - mine was positive for Lupus Anticoagulant and anti-phospholipids.)  They tested me during my 3rd miscarriage (they don't usually do the test for first and second miscarriages unless you asked) and for the next pregnancy, I had a heparin (blood thinner) prescription ready in my drawer for the moment I learned I was pg.  I had to take heparin until about 22 weeks but I had my son, finally.  Ironically, all I had with my first son was high blood pressure. I had a mc before him and two between my sons, all before 6 wks.

Hope this helps.  Pass it on. The thought that someone could let a woman go through two much less three miscarriages before they do simple test is rediculous.

Thanks for listening.
