I Never Felt God Under a Steeple

I never felt god under a steeple,
Sitting amongst all the people,
I found god in the tall oak trees,
I found her singing through the bees,
Friends ask why I look to the Sky,
But not to the arches high,
Because its right, I say,
For belief one should not pay
