When I feel like singing and dancing, I rock and roll.
I go out for a walk around the block.
I live and learn, I rock around the clock.
And when I see you smile at me that way,
I feel like dancing. Hum a melody.
Come on! Let's boogie off away from here.
I know a place where tunes are loud and clear.
But when we get there, you don't want to dance.
You had me fooled, yes you just want a chance
To rock and roll with some other guy.
Well I don't care because I've got my eye
On that stone fox who's sitting over there
With cool green eyes and long red curly hair.
I stroll on over and I ask her, Please!
Come on, let's dance. I get down on my knees.
She smiles at me and takes me by the hand,
And leads me right on over to the band.
We twist and shout. We let it all hang out.
To rock and roll is what it's all about.
The music's over. Now it's time to go.
Come back tomorrow, we'll put on a show.
