A poem about my kids
You do all you can to
ensure their happiness
You feed and shelter them.
You kiss their booboos and
make them better.

Their little hands in yours
as you walk along,
The uncoditional love and
innocents radiates from
their sparkling eyes as
they look up at you.
And as they lie sleeping
you look at them and smile.

You think of the frustration
and how scary this this can be.
All the cooking and cleaning
always putting their need first,
sometimes putting yours on
hold all together

Plans for the future
you may never fulfill,
The fact that your
little red sports car
is now a minivan,
dinner and a movie, ha!
Its now sports lessons and PTA.
A relaxing bubble bath is now
keeping them from splashing
water on the floor.

But as you
stare at them sleeping you
think to yourself,
who would want
it any other way?
