one night's dream scape telling me the sad story of the quality of my love life.
As I walked along a wooded path
Snakes slid in shadows of darkened shafts
I picked one up and toward the sky I pointed
Curling Downward, The Viper, had pierced my hand

A moth settles on my window pane
Telling me the secrets of my destiny
Do I listen to its beating wings
Designing Fabric in Somber Hues

I cried out in pain
Eyes widening at the crimson stain, which grew wider
I sinking into the growing depths
A Chasm of Futile Goals

As I fell into the thorns and leaves,
The Darkened Shafts became as Thieves, Surrounding my Form
Unthinking, I pointed another toward the sky
Again it coiled and bit me

A Piercing Scream of Agony
Rent the Sky and Rent my Being
Tearing Through to my soul now a Blackened Hole
Pierced by the Darkened Shafts.
