An entry for the Amazing 55 Word Story Contest
The mountaineer, at one with nature, sucked in chill air as he clawed up the icy slope.

In the next valley a terrorist bomb counted down to zero and detonated, destroying half the town.

The mountaineer frowned as the air thundered, then inched cautiously towards the summit.

There he looked down and surveyed his handiwork.
