when you feel like the last one standing.

Am I the last one standing?
Have I chosen the right path?
My heart won't stop pounding.
My brain can't do this math.

This urge I have is tempting,
I hear it call my name.
My adrenaline is rushing,
I want to play the game.

I try to keep my head up,
I have to keep standing tall.
My pride I won't give up,
I must try not to fall.

At times I feel I start to slip.
I can see myself falling like all the rest did,
but I always hold on with a very tight grip.
I won't make the mistake that I many times did.
