He always thought she had beautiful eyes.
Prompt - "Eyes"

He always thought she had beautiful eyes. That is, when he got to see them of course. Often, silly things got in the way. Like how she constantly buried herself in her journal or her iPod song selection, or how her hair had the astonishing ability to conceal her face from whichever angle he was facing. Her hair was amazing, no doubt, but that's a given. Complimenting her on her hair would be like telling George Clooney that he's God's gift to middle-aged women. It's just redundant.
Of course, the few times he does get to see her eyes usually end up in awkward "is there something on my face" moments. Usually, to escape the embarrassment of the situation, one feigns ignorance or even hostility.
But just once, he'd like to answer truthfully.
She'd ask, "Why are you looking at me?"
And he'd reply, "Because you're a joy to look at."
He knew how corny that'd sound. But hey, that's the truth.
