Photos from my trip!!!
Just some images, a few at a time, for you all to enjoy.
 ~
For the birds ~ A whole flock of female ostrich. The males are black, the females brown. Now you know.
Mists on the Kavango ~ The Kavango River the morning we left Ngepi Camp for Etosha.
Could they be Catholic? ~ I think this family is even larger than my mom's. And she's got 11 brothers and sisters!
Boatman ~ Me doing my best at staying afloat. I didn't fall in; but I didn't go very far either in the mokoro.
Stampede ~ I guess we spooked them.
Burning ~ Another shot of the sun over the Thebe River. I'm trying to give you a glimpse at just how big it was.
Hippo ~ Didn't see too many hippos. This was the best shot too.
Dinner time ~ I guess this could be classified as a family dinner.
Little guy ~ Just as he was drinking from the Thebe River.
Water Buck ~ Just wandering down one of the fairways. The safest place to be when Chris and I are golfind. Notice the target around it's ass!
CROC! ~ On the golf course in Zimbabwe. As if I don't have enough to worry about with a lousy tee shot, crappy irons, terrible short game, and bunkers.
Buffalo ~ The third member of the Big Five that we saw... and arguably the most dangerous.
Impala ~ Beautiful animals and very skittish. These ones didn't stay around long.
Riders on the Storm ~ Taking a break by the Zambezi
Poomba ~ Carlie's favorite animal. And mine too, when served with a red wine au jus.
First Glimpse ~ This is where you get a first glimpse of the big Falls. And more than a little wet as you can tell by the path.
Piece of the Falls ~ Another small piece of Vic Falls. You kinda get a feeling of the immense spray in this photo.
Cape Town ~ A small piece of downtown Cape Town from on top of Table Mountain.
I am Penguin ~ Standing atop Dune 45. Don't I look the picture of ambition?
Table Mountain ~ From the V&A Waterfront looking back towards the majestic Table Mountain. I put an offer on that yacht. Apparently half a bag of chips wasn't enough.
Wineries... Here we come! ~ Cathy and Peter were sick, but here we are from left to right: Dave, Carlie, Clare, Mark, Patrick, Penguin, Chris, Stine, Wendy, and Deb.
Fish River ~ More canyon, before the sun went down.
Who's number 2! ~ Just a portion of the Fish River Canyon.
Who's a lucky Penguin? ~ An amazing sunset at the Fish River Canyon. Your's truly enjoying the view.
This is my Natalie ~ Where we watched the sun come up in Sossusvlei.
I am Man ~ On the mokoro leaving the Delta. This is me trying to look rugged and manly.
Hiding in the Sun ~ Check out the zebras hiding as the sun sinks in the Delta.
The Path Rarely Taken ~ Dodging reeds and bugs on our way to the campsite.
Delta Dawn ~ Staring at my toes as we paddle on deeper into the Okavango Delta.
Thebe River ~ Our first night as a group watching the sun set on the Thebe River in Botswana.
Sossusvlei ~ Watching the sun come up over the dunes in the Namib Desert
Where am I? ~ Me, being, well, me.
Sunset at Spitzkoppe ~ I go on and about the sun here, might as well show a photo or two. Taken after the mad rush up the outcropping to capture this so-so moment.
Seal of approval ~ Some of the countless thousands...
White in the night ~ This one didn't turn out too bad considering. The rhinos before the drama started.
Catnip ~ Wonder what is so damn tasty on that leg of mine?
Pretty kitty ~ Proof of the cats, and that I was on this trip.
Wildebeest ~ One of the few animals that didn't end up on my plate during the trip.
Glug ~ I didn't care about seeing giraffes before this trip, but I must admit, I found it comical watching them drink.
Oryx ~ Beautiful to look at, tasty to eat. They really are a majestic animal.
Ngepi ~ Just a quick shot of the Kavango River at Ngepi camp before heading out for Etosha. We camped on the banks listening to hippos all night.
We rock ~ Hoping to steal some powers from the meteorite. I'm at the very back. We're all looking in different directions because we set 5 cameras on timers and they're all at different spots facing us.
Charge ~ This little guy decided to challenge us. Even though I knew the signs of a fake charge... it still had me sweating.
Penguin and beer ~ Just enjoying myself with a cold Castle after a day on the links.
Victoria Falls ~ Unless you take the photo from above the Falls, all you'll get is tiny segments of it. And the spray soaks you right through.
