Stop and think about life. Real life

                “Outside”

  Care for a moment, someone,
    for the Spring gives life.
And the world brings sounds, unlike,
    thoughts never imagined.

  Though the race of man,
    taxes, mortgage, and death.
  Bring detachment from the simple,
    new beginnings of life.

  A distant bird finds sanctuary,
    in boughs less pruned.
  And smells of flowers grace,
    nostrils; burdened with business smoke.

  To find happiness and peace,
    and outstretched wings rest,
  upon a lonesome land,
    without it's people.

  Inside we dwell, lonely, busy.
    Cell phones near our remotes.
But outside there is real beauty,
    not far from our abode.

  Care for a moment; someone.
    For life springs forth.
Calling us to vacate our tomb,
    calling us back to her.

  Because without such reminders,
    we would pale away slowly.
  To embrace ourselves,
    and fortune, and nothingness.
