An insecure girl falls in love with a boy in a painting. Is he real?
Glass shards trapped her reflection
And a broken image stares back.
Who is that girl spiraling in light,
Searching for a dark world to hide inside?

A boy smiles from his window,
Surrounded by blue skies,
Her hand brushes against his face
But he is merely scattered colors
Against a dripping canvas.

His world unfolds like fantasy
With every brushstroke
Banishing the framed barrier
That kept them apart,
Yet even imagery of the boy with her
Cannot shape reality
Into her own creation.
