Kayden always has strange dreams but he does not know why.
Kayden woke up out of breath. He glanced at the clock to see that it was midnight. He was not at all surprised; for he'd woken up every night at midnight for the last six years. He always had the same dream. He would be looking at a marvolous palace surrounded by forests. Then suddenly, the image would grow dark and eerie and the palace would burst into flames. Each time he'd had the dream, he would hear a girl's voice calling out to him and he knew he had to find her, but he never could.
He got out of bed and went downstairs to get a glass of water. He reached above the sink and got a glass, then filled it with water. Outside the window, he noticed a light. He looked closer to see that it was coming from what appeared to be a lantern. He walked outside and standing in the middle of the yard was a little person. "It's about time", it said,"I've been waiting out here for ages". "Who are you? What are you?" Kayden asked, rubbing his eyes and wondering if he'd gone completely insane.
"My name is Zache", he said,"and I'm a Sporynx. I live in Naocia, which is where we're going". Kayden stared at the human-like figure before him in disbelief. "What are you talking about? What is Naocia?" "How could not know?" Zache asked."You created it". Kayden thought someone was playing a trick on him. He'd never created anything. How could this be? "How?" was the only thing he could manage to say. Zache took Kayden by the hand and turned the dials on his watch so one hand pointed to a moon and the other to the sun.
In a matter of seconds, a portal opened. Kayden pulled away from the sporynx. "Why are we going? What does anything have to do with me?" Kayden asked, bewildered. Zache just smiled "You are the Day Dreamer".
