A short story about of Blithe Spirit cast.
A drama production at The Independent School is never dull. It's always exciting, especially with the "Blithe Spirit" cast. Whether it's having a dance party to the YMCA on center stage, or putting of layers of stage make-up, it's totally priceless.

On a typical day, I come in with a Subway sandwich. It's always a six-inch turkey breast on honey oat bread with light mayonnaise, pepper jack cheese, green peppers, banana peppers, and onions. It is accompanied by sour cream and onion baked Lays and a diet coke. Doesn't get any better than that!

I usually spend the first ten minutes to eat my dinner, while others fool around. Then, since I'm such a nice person, I give Bianca the macadamia nut cookie I bought just for her. She gobbles it up in one-tenth of the time it takes to each my sandwich. That's fast (at least for Bianca)!

Then comes "warm-ups." We make high-pitched "whoooos" and say tongue twisters like "Unique New York." Try and say that five times fast! We say our vowels very dramatically, of course! We're in drama for God's sake!"

Then it's time to act. We act for about two hours It always seems to go the same way. When we are going over a scene we've done so many times, we mess up, and keep messing up. Little does Mrs. Ottaway know, we may not get it right now, but when it's show time, we nail it! Weird how things work out, huh?

Then it's time for our one-a-rehearsal break. We usually take this time to get some exercise. Hence our YMCA jazzercise! It's mainly Bianca, Kate, and I doing dance moves to the YMCA song buy The Village People. I'm usually the construction worker with the microphone, complete with pelvic thrusts.

After our fabulous dance party, it is time for two more hours of acting! We the tend to get a little restless and drive Mrs. Ottaway crazy, so we get a member of the crew to go to Quik Trip and get Rooster Boosters for everyone.

Then it's time to go home. We stay up all night and do homework and get to sleep at around three o'clock in the morning (unless you're a freshman). The next day everyone looks forward to rehearsal; the dance parties, the lines, and the Rooster Boosters. What can I say? There's no cast like the "Blithe Spirit" cast!
