Tribute to unattainable beauty
Open my Hand

I sit here late considering the most beautiful one,

This persona who has caused me to come undone.

Her eyes like starlight, Sparkling glitter my way.

Drawing me closer I find it impossible to stray.

Her smile is like fire to a cold lonely soul.

Igniting desire and making me whole

Her skin is like ivory oh so perfect in form.

Her countenance a flower and I the bee swarm.

I would quietly cuddle at the foot of her bed,

Let her train me to follow everywhere that she led.

Give her every desire that flowed out of her heart,

And grieve within seconds of the time she departs.

In her bosom I would rest and consider our time,

Cherish every moment to share that we were able to find.

I would draw her close to me protect her from all things,

Show her dedication no matter what life may bring.

Yet this one I consider I fear is so far out of reach,

Like the last wave of the ebbing tide in reaching the beach.

But I will grasp for this star that is glinting the night,

I must try to catch it before it burns out of sight.

So I open my hand ……….
