A poem that i wrote myself when i was 16.
I'm letting go,
Forcing my way through.
But, hold on to me until i find someone new.
I have loved you for so long,
I've lost track of time.
I was once your's as you were mine.
So say farewell,
And shed your tears.
I've pushed away my pride as well as my fears.
I'm falling head first hoping I'll land on my feet.
So three years will pass,
Before again that we meet.
We both know that it wasn't meant to be.
Days pass and I see you smile.
I've been here, standing by your side for a while.
Hiding my thoughts and feelings,
Knowing it hurts to be here,
Holding and embracing my own fear.
Now I'm letting go.
Saying farewell and I love you.
Counting down the days,
But, they are few.
