This is about the world as I see it now.
The end of the path is near
Who knows what lies there?
Think about it
I've decided that I'm leaving home
Because everything is different somehow
Nothing is what it used to be
Just look at the children on the streets
To know what I mean
And who's going to dare?
To speak out there
All of this becoming aware
Is driving me crazy
Does anybody have any thoughts to spare?
About the world we now see
I'm becoming aware
To see how ill we fare
The things that we do are wrong
We can't seem to pick up after ourselves
(And the waves will crash on a littered shore)
And why doesn't anyone care?
I guess we're just too lazy to help
It's ironic how we're ruining ourselves
Acute and aware
And who's going to dare?
To speak out there
I'm becoming aware
Would you dare?
Think about it
The end of the path is near
And we all know what lies there
