Being a asthmatic i hope you can enjoy this silly poem as I do.
Daring them to beat its contenders
Speeding white lines reached up to shake hands with sneaker clad feet
But knots intervened furiously coiling around the stomach linings
Yanking on long exploding rocket bombs

Like an inferno suffocating for air
Wheezing,wheezing
Fighting, begging
Like Holyfield did when Tyson bit off his ear
Bartering with Native Americans the way John Smith did
Praying to God for one last breath
Knowing no day is ever promised

Running but losing whine
Kicking but slowing down
Stealing strides in between breathes
Inhaling jagged breathes
Fighting ambushed pirates for the chance to make it to the finish

Pouncing like a panther ready to attack its prey
Kicking like a jaguar over massive boulders
Blazing into your sight with bright green pumas on like only a true Jamaican would
Running 500 meters across the finish line
In irony fighting asthmas cruel untimely excursions
