Again I have modified this and I'm pretty happy with it now, there's more fluidity.

Society expects a demeanour shrouded in pride, all sensitivity is to be cast aside.

Whilst social sincerity is no more than contrived, synthetic happiness is an expression of pride.

This invented tradition refuses to be defied; any hope for common understanding slowly subsides.

The cries of a haunted mind were dampened by this pride, a pride we all know to well.

A desire for pity was hidden by this pride, a pride we all refuse to tell.

Any expression of honesty was prohibited by this pride, thus we are left in our shell.

Aggressively then pride makes its demand, while freedom of expression sinks in the sand.

For any peoples who fail to understand, pride is a societal must in this cultured land.

Towards hell we gaze as the shit hits the pan, whilst pride and sociability walk lovingly hand in hand.
