This is a short, modified sonnet. It tells the story of a young man and an older woman.
Against the blue sky, there swings a trapeze.
A youth and a lady walk in the breeze.
"Up there, one day, it may be you and me.
In flight together, where I'd swing to thee."

"Wherefore you dream? For today is so bright;
Tease not with maybes -- say we will, not might!
Trust in my hands and we'll leave here tonight
Between us is reason enough -- 'tis right!"

"No matter of justice, not right or wrong:
But feeling, emotion -- simply your song."
"Lady, abandon those old laws of men
Rules that restrict whom you love, why and when."

"The truth is, sweet youth, though I love you yet,
Passion is dangerous without a net."
