Small poem about colors and their associations to sounds.

The colors of this world are many and beautiful,
from the blinding yellow of the blazing sun,
to the dark blues of the ocean depths.
But there are a thousand colors more that only blind men see.
Can you hear the verdant green of birdsong?
Can you hear the angry red of the crackling flames?
Or are your colors limited to only your eyes,
bound by the habitual reliance on sight?
The gentle babble of a mountain brook brings shades of blue to the open ears,
and the whistling wind of a stormy day blows in the dark gray of clouds to come.
how many colors can you hear,
listening with perfect clarity, yet deaf to the world?
Calm yourself, sit still and listen.
Close your eyes and open your ears to the world.
