Freedom fighters race to free people from a tyrannical dictator.
The sky in the west was warm with the setting sun. Glenn Washington walked down the alley behind Hammer and Anvil Hardware. He knocked on a door in the back.
"I'm here to pick up my order." A hand gestured into the darkness.
"Come in." A dim light illuminated the silhouettes in the room.
"This group is full. Let's move out." A group of about 20 people exited the room. Six camouflaged men followed, four carrying assault rifles. Four military light trucks were parked outside with technicals leading and tailing the pack. The six men divided between the two pickups to guard the convoy. The last last sliver of sunlight was on the horizon as the convoy neared the Sumadian border. As soon as the border guards spotted the technicals, they raised their weapons. The truck braked short of the gate and the men got out. The guards advanced with their sights trained.
"Get on the ground!" A blue flash accompanied two others as the guards fell to the ground. The three freedom fighters pocketed their tasers. One opened the gate and the convoy continued. The sound of chopper blades sliced through the air. Bradley Hawke returned to the passenger seat of the technical.
"No more oppression. No more suffering. No more Sumadium." The gunner in the bed leaned down next to him.
"What do we do now, Hawk?"
"We find these people a home."
